Discover Sailing Day
Sat, 31 Oct 2026 12:00 – 15:00
PHOSC Clubhouse — 226B Attunga Road, Yowie Bay, NSW, 2228
Come spend an afternoon with us on the pristine waters of Port Hacking — one of Sydney's most beautiful waterways. Discover Sailing is our open invitation to anyone curious about getting out on the water: no experience or equipment required. Just turn up, meet the club, and have a sail in one of our dinghies (small boats).

Sailing is one of the best lifelong sports. It's great for families, for kids gaining confidence and independence, and for adults who can pick it up at any age. Whether you're eight or eighty, we'll pair you with an experienced club member who'll show you the ropes and have you steering a boat across the bay.

There are a variety of sailing dinghies you can try. For more speed, jump in one of our NS14s. For more comfort, Herons are roomy and perfect for a sail with a mate or the kids. And if you're young and ready to sail on your own, the Bics are purpose-built for beginners.

If you like what you find at PHOSC, then you're welcome to return on Sundays when we race and sail together from September to April. There's a place here for every kind of sailor. Come along on 31 October, meet the crew, and see what sailing is all about.
