PHOSC support boat

The club's support boat is crewed by two people on race days (Sunday afternoons), the skipper and an assistant.

Currently these positions are filled by our club sailors on a rotating basis, however we are always looking for suitable volunteers to help out in these roles either full or part-time.

If you can spare a few hours on Sunday afternoons assisting our support boat crews or driving our support boat, please contact Scott Roberts at PHOSCmembership@gmail.com or any of our committee members at the club on Sundays.

No qualifications are required to assist other than being fit and healthy, however obviously a NSW boat licence is essential to drive the club's support boat.

If you're deemed a suitable candidate, we will provide appropriate training that will allow you to operate the vessel under the club's strict guidelines.

Knowledge of sailing would be advantageous, especially as skipper of our support boat.

Regards,

Scott Roberts Commodore Port Hacking Open Sailing Club Inc.

Our support boat is a centre console Southwind UB520 with a new 90hp Mercury 4-stroke.

This boat was originally built to support the 2000 Sydney Olympic Rowing events.
