Paul Armstrong and Xavier Waters sailing Heron

Congratulations to Paul Armstrong and his crew Xavier Waters for a near flawless display of sailing over the weekend (29–30 Jan 2022) at the Victorian State Heron Titles.

Paul and Xavier managed 3 x 1st's and a 2nd over the four races, displaying excellent boat handling skills and showing the Victorian locals that they have a bit to go to keep up with his Heron "O for Awesome" and the rest of the PHOSC team.

Congrats also to Travis Read and Chloe Allen sailing in "Heronasaurus" — they placed 2nd overall. Mick Armstrong and Scarlet Sturwohld brought home their Heron "Lets Play" in 5th place.

NSW actually had a clean sweep at the Victorian State Titles, taking out 1st, 2nd and 3rd places. Kate and Jake Sturwohld from CRSC (Concorde Ryde SC) sailing in "Light Fury" took out the third podium spot of the regatta, which was looking good to go Mick Armstrong's way in "Lets Play" until the weather gods weren't in Mick's favour in the last race.

Congratulations to all the competitors and the host club St Leonards Yacht Club & Motor Squadron for hosting a fantastic Heron Victorian State Championship regatta over the weekend.

Thanks to all involved in the team for representing PHOSC again in such spectacular fashion!
