NOTICE OF RACE

1) INTRODUCTION

Welcome to the 8th annual Heron World Single Handed Championship.
This is your chance to achieve the dream of becoming a world sailing champion!
The Heron World Single Handed Championship will be held on 11 and 12 March 2023 at Port Hacking Open Sailing Club.

Overnight indoor camping is available free of charge at the club on the Saturday Night and if required for interstate travellers on Friday and Sunday nights. This includes toilet, showers and kitchen facilities.

You can either bring a swag or erect a small tent as long as it is freestanding (i.e. doesn’t require pegs).

A BBQ will be held on Saturday evening at the club. We encourage all competitors
and their helpers to stay for a while at the club after the race for this informal
gathering. A small charge to cover food will apply and drinks (soft drinks and beverages) can be purchased.

2) RULES

The event will be governed by World Sailing’s Racing Rules of Sailing for 2021–2024, the rules of the National Heron Sailing Association and any amendments to those rules in this Notice of Race or the Sailing Instructions.

3) ORGANISING AUTHORITY

The sole Organising Authority for this event is the Port Hacking Open Sailing Club Inc. (PHOSC).
