Back on in 2022 Coffs Harbour Yacht Club hosted the the Second Annual Coffs Coast Harbour Sprint on 23 & 24 April with seven race sessions run over the two days.

Herons, Lasers, Impulse & Sabres, were represented at this event that is gaining momentum in a  "BYO class along" designed as an "Off The Beach" monohull sprint event held within the sheltered waters of Coffs Harbour. 

The Vaiciurgis family from "Coffs harbour Yacht Club" are on fire at the moment with Kylie and Mia taking out FIRST place overall on scratch in the Heron class, and this comes just a week after Peter V and Joel took out FIRST on scratch at the NS14 NSW States at Lake Maquarie!

Our PHOSC Heron fleet was represented by Paul Armstrong skippering "O for Awesome" and Mick Armstrong,  (hmmm... no relation... we think !)  skippering "Lets Play".    Paul came home in 8th position on scratch and Mick finished in 14th spot well done fella's.

We also had  Charles Nosworthy and Xavier Waters competing together in "She Said Yes"  and those lads put in an amazing effort to take out second place on HANDICAP for the Heron Class!  

No easy feat there guys fighting it out against some pretty well seasoned competition from the Heron fleet.

Great effort everyone, & a really big thanks from the club for flying our club flag all the way up at Coffs Harbour!
